Q: WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU CAN ACT & HOW DID YOU BECOME AN ACTOR?

A:  My passion for acting sparked 5 years ago when I got the opportunity to assist in a film production set. The commitment deepened when I started appearing in a short film called Moipolai and I realized I could be an actress. I have appeared in over three film productions, Madimabe, Ga Go Bonolo, and Mojwadi. I found a passion for both on-screen and off-screen work, resulting in the production of a 26-episode documentary that licensed by BTV called ‘Femprenuers’ by Final Frame aiming to empower women in the creative industry.

Q: YOUR BEST SCHOOL MEMORIES AS A STUDENT

A:  One of my fondest school memories was at Kgamanyane CJSS when we embarked on a school trip to Lobatse at Botswana Meat Commission. I believe it was when I was in form 2/3, though the exact year eludes me. During this trip, we learned about the fascinating process of using horns to create coat buttons, which sparked a deeper interest in farming within me. The revelation that dung could be utilized as valuable manure further solidified my appreciation for agriculture.

Q: DESCRIBE YOUR CHARACTER ON SGELA TV DRAMA

A:  LESH is indeed a troubled girl. She finds pleasure in dating older men and is drawn to a lavish lifestyle beyond her years. Lesego doesn’t hesitate to trade her friendships for financial gain. She doesn’t care about genuine connections. Her actions and choices reflect a troubled soul navigating a challenging path in her childhood.

Q: BEST HIGHLIGHT ON SET, FILMING SGELA TV DRAMA

A: One of my most memorable moments while filming SGELA was receiving positive feedback from the director, Mr. Maretlwaneng, and our DOP, Mr. Vushangwe, regarding our performance. Additionally, forming a strong bond, akin to sisterhood, with my fellow castmates was truly special.

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

A: My hobbies include camping, baking, making natural skincare products for my company GOSEGOS Nature Treasures, and cooking at our food stall Tla re je. I’m also passionate about farming and aim to fully embrace farm life in the long term.

Q: SPECIAL MESSAGE TO ANYONE WHO WANT TO BE AN ACTOR LIKE YOU?

A:  “Keep honing your craft and take every opportunity to perform. My sister Itumeleng always says to believe in yourself, and that every step you take brings you closer to your dream. Stay committed and embrace feedback as a tool for growth.”

Q: HOW DOES IT FEEL TO APPEAR IN A TV DRAMA AIRING ON DSTV MOJA LOVE?

A: I found great joy in watching my favorite actresses on television and envision myself in their position one day. Remarkably, that dream has now become a reality. I am grateful for being part of SGELA, a TV drama airing on DSTV MOJA LOVE, and I pray it is an opportunity that will open many doors for us as creatives. I extend my gratitude to DEE ZONE PRODUCTIONS for acknowledging my abilities. Remarkably, our reach is now international.
