Vivo Energy Botswana has expanded its national retail network with the opening of the new Shell Tlokweng service station, strengthening the company’s strategy of combining quality Shell fuels and lubricants with convenience retail offerings to better serve motorists and surrounding communities across Botswana.

Vivo Energy Botswana Managing Director, Sesupo Wagamang, said the investment demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding access to trusted fuel products while enhancing the overall customer experience through complementary retail and food partnerships.

“The opening of Shell Tlokweng represents another important step in our journey to expand our footprint and bring our products and services closer to the communities we serve. Our focus is not only on growing our network, but also on creating customer experiences that are convenient, reliable and responsive to evolving needs.”

Officially opened through a ribbon-cutting ceremony and customer activation activities, the Shell Tlokweng site offers customers Shell’s premium fuels and lubricants alongside convenience retail and quick service restaurant options, creating a one-stop destination that responds to the evolving needs of motorists.

As Vivo Energy Botswana continues to expand its footprint, each new service station contributes to employment creation, supports local enterprise development and increases access to quality energy products and retail services. The company’s investments continue to improve customer convenience while strengthening Botswana’s fuel retail industry.

Convenience retail has become an important complement to Vivo Energy Botswana’s core fuel business. Over the years, the company has partnered with leading brands including Pick n Pay, Sefalana Cash & Carry and KFC at selected Shell service stations across the country, enabling customers to refuel their vehicles, purchase groceries, enjoy meals and access everyday essentials in one location.

The Shell Tlokweng service station continues this approach through a new partnership with Quatros, adding quality food and refreshment options to the site’s integrated retail offering.

Wagamang said Vivo Energy Botswana remains focused on delivering value through both its energy products and its growing retail ecosystem.

“Every new Shell service station we develop creates opportunities for employment, supports local businesses through strategic partnerships and makes it easier for customers to access quality fuels, lubricants, food and other essential services in one convenient location.”

He said the company’s partnerships are helping redefine the role of modern service stations in Botswana by providing customers with more reasons to visit while supporting economic growth.

“By combining trusted Shell products with strong retail partnerships, we are creating destinations that offer greater choice, save customers time and contribute to the growth of the communities in which we operate. Our ambition is to continue making life easier for motorists while supporting Botswana’s economic development.”

The Shell Tlokweng expansion forms part of Vivo Energy Botswana’s ongoing investment in growing its national network and delivering an integrated customer experience built around quality fuels, lubricants and convenience retail, ensuring motorists across Botswana have easier access to the products and services they need wherever they travel.
