Additional charges against triple murderer, bdf lance corporal

The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) has escalated the legal battle against Botswana Defense Force (BDF) Lance Corporal Moagi Nkomeng by filing an additional three charges. Nkomeng, accused of the recent tragic slaying of three family members in Kgomokasitwa, now faces a daunting total of nine charges, up from the original six. These include murder, attempted murder, and three counts of malicious damage, as revealed by Modipedi Tladi of the DPP in the Lobatse Magistrate’s Court this morning.

In a related development, the court was informed that the police officer who suffered bullet wounds during the incident has been discharged from the hospital and is on the path to recovery. However, his statement is yet to be recorded as the investigation remains ongoing.

Nkomeng continues to be held at Gaborone Central Prison and is slated to make his next court appearance on the 1st of the coming month.
