Trucha drags Orapa to FIFA courts

Publishing Date : 09 December, 2019

Orapa United will soon find themselves answering difficult questions after their former coach, Tomas Trucha reported his case at the Federation International Football Association (FIFA)’s Dispute Resolution Chamber. Trucha reports that he was unfairly dismissed and prays that the team pay fully his remainder of the contract.

The Czech Republican who is now with Township Rollers, signed a two year contract and was reported to be earning around P 35 000 per month. Trucha’s tenure was cut short following a string of poor results. He was recruited not only to replace award winning Madinda Ndlovu but also to surpass his achievements. However, it proved to be a tall order for the Czech Republican who was expelled with 22 months left on his contract.

However when approached for comment, Orapa United’s media liaison Kabo Williams, says the club has heard through the grape vine that Trucha has taken them to courts. He says it is still corridor talks to them but they are ready to establish the facts if need be. “We are yet to be told or served with papers that support Trucha’s case, it is still corridor talk this side, but once it gets serious we will respond accordingly,” he said.

Trucha is seen as one of the most qualified coaches in the premier league. He possesses a UEFA coaching pro license, this is why Rollers were quick to employ him. But so far has his stock fallen that some inside Township Rollers considers it an act of kindness to cut his brief reign while he is still fighting to stamp authority. They are seeing him suffering, and do not wish to see his reputation further damaged by the kind of feeble performance he oversaw at a premier league game against rookies, Molepolole City Stars  two weeks gone by.

There is a growing sense that he now needs saving from cruelty and ridicule, that is why some meetings were held to cut his stay. Before the club's pursuit of another coach emerged, the plan was for the Czech Republican    to end the season and then have a review on his applications. This campaign was said to be led by the club Chairperson and some influential members of the committee.

The committee is said to be intent that if it is decided at this point to let Trucha go, there should be a candidate in place who has agreed terms and would be ready to take over immediately to prepare and propel Rollers back to challenging top honors. This is the strategy under which a new coach is approached. They also want to fully satisfy the contract signed with Trucha so that he does not feel aggrieved.
