Born in Molepolole some years ago and adopted in her early childhood,Mpho Merriweather is her name and the sky certainly isn’t her limit.

Beyond the sparkle, opulence and luxury lies a pack of fierce and glamorous women calling all kinds of shades! Glamour is not a question, money is not an issue and drama is the name of the game. This show is a glimpse into the lives of Johannesburg’s most successful and richest women. Some of them are not initially from South Africa; they are there because of various motives. Our very own reality TV star has joined this most watched show, mostly watched because of drama, shade and lies that the women throw at each other.

Known for her charisma, determination, creativity and enthusiasm, Mpho Merriweather is her name and the sky certainly isn’t her limit. Born in Molepolole some years ago and adopted in her early childhood, she was raised in a multicultural diverse environment with a wordily and dynamic outlook. It was no surprise that she would lead in the art and design industry as she became Botswana’s first female jewellery designer for De Beers.

So I checked all search engines to actually see what Merriweather has been up to, and how she feels about being on this hot and notorious show in South Africa. She is a villain Queen of shade…and she is an ultimate peacemaker, and it depends on what day it is, which hour and how her mood is like! And oh, it also depends on how much champagne she had at that particular time. Silly! Commenting on what she liked about Season 1, she said ‘’I love the fact that women were being themselves, they showed their true colours and they had no room to be fake’’. Merriweather joined this shoe because she wanted to have a platform for women to be able to express themselves more, and live their fancy lives to the fullest.

Quizzed on what viewers should expect from her on this show, she said ‘’they should expect a lot of laughter, truth and drama’’. Merriweather is at the top of her game by a mile. Not only is she acing the role of project manager for major events around the country, she’s also a trained jewellery designer. She believes it’s her destiny to trot around the globe and experience different cultures. A devoted mother of 5, and a ‘blended family Queen’, Merriweather is really ready to deliver a refreshing sighting on the Real Housewives of Johannesburg.

Having joined the cast for Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Johannesburg just recently, Merriweather and the whole cast promises more sparkle, over the top parties, expensive shows and bigger handbags. They do lavish face beats, long lashes and ball gowns. Merriweather, who is nicknamed the money machine, is set to show the world just how fancy she can get and may just rub a couple of people the wrong way. She was in Gaborone on Wednesday for greet and meet with the media.

Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Johannesburg is a South African reality television series that premiered on 3 August 2018, on M-Net’s rebranded channel, 1Magic.
