Mochudi based social club Lovestreet in partnership with Alliance for Progressives (AP) Councilor candidate for Block 3, Dlamini Tshepo Kwapa donated some food hampers and blankets to the less privileged. The initiative was held over the past weekend in Itumeleng ward.

It was spearheaded by some social workers and was hailed a success by Kwapa who also encouraged the spirit of giving so as to support the noble gesture as showed by members of Lovestreet social club. The beneficiaries who mostly comprised of elders are handicapped and stay in appalling conditions.  While donating the goods at Block 3 grounds, Kwapa said as human beings it is very important that we take time out of our busy schedule to check our neighbors and see if there is something we can do for them.

The AP councilor candidate, who was previously with the BDP during the 2014 general elections, highlighted the importance of giving back to the community. Kwapa took the opportunity to also call other stakeholders to come on board and work with Block 3 social workers to look out for such families that needs urgent attention. He said Lovestreet is just a social football that leaves on donation but they have a track record in terms extending a helping hand. He said they raise money and travel around the country donating where they can. In the recent past, they built a pit latrine toilet at Artesia.

Do you think the courts will help put the UDC, BMD impasse within reasonable time ahead of the 2019 General Election?
