Spirit of Praise ready to worship in Gaborone

The remarkable Spirit of Praise 7 gospel compilation artists have undoubtedly promised local gospel revellers a thriller of an event come November 10th at UB Indoor Sports Arena.

The much anticipated event will be themed RISE UP and is organised by Colours of Sound, an international event organising company. Speaking at a press conference held in Gaborone this week director of the event Massie Hule said the event will be nothing of the usual. He said they brought an event of this magnitude to connect people on a higher level with not just music but worship citing that it is not about the performances but rather a higher level of worship hence the theme Rise Up.

He further divulged their budget saying not less than P1.5 million was spared for the overall quality production that will assist in captivating the audience and keeping them on their feet if not edge of their seats.  Amongst priorities of a well organized event, Hule said they invested on the safety of all therefore security will be top notch. Like any event comprising of reputable stars, the event organisers promised their audience a magical red carpet moment that will span for 1hour 30minutes.

With all glitz and skylines availed the shoulder rubbing moment will be appealing to say the least and will thus give gospel enthusiasts a good value for their money. Amongst the panel of guests at the conference, was the over-zealous and the famous Bishop Benjamin Dube, who could not hide his excitement of being in Botswana after 3 years without showing up.  He said his appearance and his team in Spirit of Praise on the upcoming event is kindly because Spirit of Praise is topping the charts, with relevant artists.

 He said through events such as this one the excellence of gospel is prolonged. “Gospel has to set the bar on how music should be presented,” he said. Dube said as one of the producers he ought to leave a memorable experience with this particular event. He went on to say working with different artists calls for unity of the gospel and it is not easy. “Gospel artists believe in complimenting each other than compete with one another,” he revealed.

The South African gospel sensation was met with a thunderous applause after mentioning that his sons (the Dube brothers) will be amongst the performers who will blaze up the stage. To end his remarks he said spirit of praise is open to work and engage with local artists as their main role is to leave a legacy at the end of it all. The show will kick-start at 5pm and tickets goes for P300 normal ticket and P750 VIP.
