Multitudes of Disco fans are expected to throng Maun Sports Complex in large numbers next Saturday as the popular Splash Legendary Tour invades the North West capital.

The event will be headlined by the Disco godfather Dan Tshanda, Dalom Kids, Matshikos and Montana. This time around local artists are not left behind. “We have Khoza, Linda, Ponka, Mercy M and Zangwana. Besides, security will be very tight with 100 personnel deployed. We will also be launching sound, stage, barricades and lighting,” event organizer La-Puto said. Tickets are on sale at RailPark and Maun Liqourama. They are going for P100/ P150 double (limited) while it will be P120 at the gate. VIP ticket is going for P300.

Disco which has many writing its obituary has rose from ashes as its followers requested for a series of events touring the country. “It is back by popular demand. This genre has its own lovers and they are hungry to see their music hence this shows,” added La-Puto. Tickets are said to be moving like fact-cakes, a factor which organizers say should encourage those who are yet to make up their mind to buy.

“What I can tell Batswana especially in the Maun area is to expect nothing but the best of disco. We will be continuing to launch new Matshikos album which I encourage all Batswana to come in large numbers to hear for the first time”. Confidence from Tshanda who has started a relationship with Motion track in Kanye emanates from their professionalism in dealing with artists.

“Security wise they are the best and they pay us well on time that is why we are dealing with them. Their sound system is one of kind because that has always been our challenge as artist in various events we performed at. So everyone is assured of the best sound at the event,” he said
