A further intake of Choppies  managerial staff   this week completed a Standard Operating Process( SOP) training  aimed at improving service and proficiency levels for the company’s store managers.

The courses are being conducted by the internationally-renowned Kerala-based Spencer College. Spincer CEO and Head Lecturer, Mr. V. A Vaidyanath, BsC & FCA, along with 2 assistants, Roy Dominic and Aebee Simon, have been running the series of  5-day courses at the Choppies retail compound in Commerce Park. The training is aimed at empowering  members of the company’s senior staff with effective communication skills needed in the modern retail industry. The staff are also being more fully trained in official company operating procedures and practices with a view to improving customer service and delivery as well as boosting  overall profitability and efficiency levels throughout the stores.

The courses began in August and will run till the end of September 2018, with the trip of lecturers returning to the country in early 2019 to continue the training initiative.  In total, around 400 staff members will benefit from the initiative, including satellite and out-of-country personnel.  The progeamme follows the recent collaboration announced between the Choppies Group and Limkokwing University in the area of retail degree coursework and qualifications and demonstrates the Group’s commitment to in-house organisational training alongside support for practical tertiary curriculi, preparatory to careers within the retail industry.
