The 5th Annual Hamptons Jazz Festival momentum is surely building up gradually. With only about 7 weeks to go, the organizers are pulling all stops to ensure it will be a success, come 24 March 2018 at Duma Grounds.

This past week, headliners Billy Ocean and Bhudazza took to their respective social media platforms to confirm their attendance via videos. The videos by the Briton and the Lesotho native had Hamptons fans eating out of their palms. Hamptonettes, as Hamptons lovers are affectionately known, were surely excited about these confirmations. On the local front, Nnunu Ramogotsi, Socca Moruakgomo & Thato Jessica have all confirmed their attendance via videos posted on their social media platforms and on the Hamptons pages, much to the applause of the fans.

There are also radio jingles across local radio stations to that effect and these have also left fans baited with anticipation for the actual event to take place. Street poles adverts are also visible around Gaborone major roads. In addition to Billy Ocean and Bhudazza, Mali's Salif Keita and South Africa's Amanda Black, Zahara, brother and sister duo Nathi and Amanda Makanyi, are all billed to perform.

On the local front Botswana will be well represented by Jazz Maestro's in Socca Moruakgomo, Nnunu Ramogotsi, Thabang Gaorogwe and Shanti Lo. Exciting additions include the talented ATI, sultry Thato Jessica, and legendary Kalanga maestro Ndingo Johwa. Dishing some grown folk music will be Djs Jazzy Pete and Bush. MC duties have been given to smooth Resego Motlhokathari, the every smiley Zenzele Hirchsfeld and the funny Losika Seboni.

Debbie Smith, one of Hamptons Organizers stated ''there is currently a couples ticket promotion which goes for P899, admitting two and gets you two free tshirts, this special is valid until end of February.'' ''Normal tickets are P599, with no merchandize, while those wanting a VIP experience will part with P3500,'' Debbie further continued. The VIP experience includes welcome beverages, food by Avani Gaborone Resort & Casino chefs, drinks vouchers, chocolate fountain, Hamptons Tshirt or Fedora Hat, Hamptons goody bag, Moet glass, and the opportunity to meet and greet celebrity artists.

For those coming to the Hamptons and requiring accommodation, packages are available through Aquarian Tide Hotel. There is the P899 deal which includes a single ticket, a tshirt, 1night accommodation for one, on either March 23rd or 24th including transport to and from the venue.
