Township Rollers chief financer, Jagdish Shah has delivered a severe sentence on his recently suspended players, Joel Mogorosi and Mthokosize Msomi.

The duo was summoned by Shah at Rollers offices for disciplinary hearing on Wednesday where they were slapped with yet another suspension on an acrimonious announcement that they will not be paid a one month salary. The strikers are punished by the team official all by himself after they engaged in a bitter fight with TAFIC player Samuel Phiri at a game played at UB stadium on the January 24.  The players are also suspended from BFA activities pending thorough investigations.

It is said that Shah who also doubles as the chairman of the team is furious about the manner in which his players handled the situation. Most embarrassingly, it is believed that Mogorosi as the senior player and also the assistant captain of the team has driven Shah to shortly suspend their wages. Mogorosi was playing his first game after serving a three match ban for insulting match officials.

Upon his first suspension, Rollers hauled the former Mochudi Center Chiefs star before hot coals expressing disappointment for his way ward attitude on the field of play. Rollers say they had no choice but to evoke code of conduct that both Mogorosi and Mosmi have embraced when signing their contract extension late last year. Most notably, a more emphasis was directed to Mogorosi as a senior player who has since accepted the turn of events, but was also remorseful as before.

The two players believe they acted on an involuntary behavior just to protect their player, Edwin Moalosi who received a hot slap from TAFIC’ s Samuel Phiri. Msomi, too, was the victim of Phiri’s bully behavior on the fateful day. Rollers wrote on the facebook page confirming the recent suspensions.

“Our players Joel Mogorosi and Mthokozisi Msomi were summoned by our Club President Mr. Jagdish Shah for a disciplinary discussion today at the Rollers Headoffice in regards to the violent misconduct that had happened at the Township Rollers FC vs Tafic SC League game on the 24th January 2018, with both players receiving red cards during that game, handing Township Rollers FC a major team selection setback during two crucial cup games. Both Joel Mogorosi and Mthokozisi Msomi hereby have been suspended by Township Rollers FC for a month with "NO SALARY PAYABLE", reads part of the statement.

Shah is said to be setting a good precedence and has warn all the players as well as members of the technical team to remain disciplined at all times. Mogorosi signed 1 year contract sometimes in June after the club nearly parted company with him. He was linked with Sharps and Gaborone United but Rollers’ failure to recruit a competent replacement meant that his stay is extended by another year. Msomi on one hand was brought on the 11th hour after South African outfit Jomo Cosmos could not renew his stay. To this date, he is yet to live up to expectations as a foreign player.
